iPad Screen Repair prices by model

This repair is priced after a free diagnosis for now: book, and we diagnose your device at our workshop and confirm the required repair and applicable price.

Which kind of iPad screen do you have?

The single biggest factor in an iPad screen price is how the screen is built:

  • Separate glass and display: the standard iPad. A cracked front with a working picture usually needs only the glass and touch layer replaced.
  • Laminated display: every iPad Pro, and the iPad Air and iPad mini from the Air 2 and mini 4 onwards. Glass and display are one part, so a crack means a full display assembly.

You do not need to work this out yourself. Pick your model when you book and the price shown is for your iPad. If you are unsure which model you have, the A-number printed on the back identifies it.

Glass damage or display damage?

Signs that the display underneath is damaged, not only the glass:

  • black or coloured blotches that spread from the impact point
  • lines across the picture, or a section that stays dark
  • a backlight that flickers or has gone uneven

Signs of a touch fault rather than a picture fault: taps that do nothing in one strip, the iPad opening apps on its own, or Pencil strokes that break up in one area. A touch fault on a standard iPad is a glass repair; on a laminated iPad it is the full assembly.

Until it is repaired

Cracked iPad glass sheds small splinters, and children use iPads more than anyone. Put a strip of clear tape over the cracks, keep it in a case, and avoid pressing on the damaged area, which can spread the crack into the display beneath. Keep it away from water: a cracked screen no longer seals.

Once it is fixed, a case with a raised edge around the screen does more to prevent the next crack than a screen protector does, because most iPad screens break from a corner impact rather than a face-down drop.

What happens after you book

We confirm collection, check the iPad before it is opened, including the frame, the home button and Touch ID where your model has them, fit the screen and test touch, Pencil and display before it goes back. The full process is on the iPad repair in Dubai page, and the stages appear live on repair tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions.

Will my Apple Pencil work after the screen is replaced?

It should. We test touch and Pencil input across the whole screen before the iPad goes back to you. If your Pencil already had a problem, mention it when you book so it is not mistaken for a result of the repair.

The glass is cracked but the picture is perfect. Why can't you replace just the glass?

On an iPad Pro, and on recent iPad Air and iPad mini models, the glass and the display are laminated into one part, so replacing the glass means replacing both. On the standard iPad they are separate, and a glass-only repair is usually possible.

How long does an iPad screen repair take?

Longer than a phone screen. The adhesive around the glass has to be released slowly and the new glass has to bond before the iPad is tested. The estimated repair time for your model is shown in the price table and during booking.

Do you repair iPads with a bent frame?

We check the frame at diagnosis. A bent chassis stops a new screen from sitting flat, so it has to be straightened first or the new glass will crack again. If it cannot be, we tell you.
