iPhone Charging Port Repair in Dubai

An iPhone that will not charge, charges only at an angle, or drops the connection when you move it. We diagnose it free of charge first, because this is often a cleaning job rather than a replacement, so the price you are given is for the repair it actually needs.

iPhone Charging Port Repair prices by model

This repair is priced after a free diagnosis for now: book, and we diagnose your device at our workshop and confirm the required repair and applicable price.

What you are probably seeing

Charging faults announce themselves in a fairly small number of ways, and which one you have narrows the repair considerably:

  • the cable only charges held at an angle, or pressed in harder than it should need
  • charging starts and stops repeatedly, with the connection chime over and over
  • the cable feels loose, or falls out under its own weight
  • nothing at all, from any cable or plug
  • "Liquid has been detected in the Lightning connector" that will not clear
  • it charges, but people on calls say they cannot hear you

The first three usually mean debris or a worn port. The last one points at the flex assembly, because on most iPhones the port and the bottom microphone are part of the same component.

What we check, free of charge

A charging complaint is diagnosed before it is priced, because the repairs behind it differ enormously. We work through, in this order:

  • the port itself under magnification, for compacted lint, which is the most common cause by far
  • whether a known-good cable and charger behave differently from yours
  • the pins, for corrosion, bent contacts or heat damage
  • whether the battery is holding charge at all, since a failed battery looks like a failed port
  • the charging circuit on the board, if the port and cable both test good

If it turns out to be lint, we tell you that, and it is a far smaller job than a replacement. Finding that out costs you nothing.

What to do before you book

Rule out the cheap causes first, because two of them you can fix yourself in five minutes. Try a different cable, then a different wall plug, then charging from a computer. If your iPhone supports wireless charging, try that: if wireless works and cable charging does not, the problem is almost certainly the port or its flex, and the phone is not about to die on you.

If you got a liquid-detected warning, do not keep plugging the cable in to test it, and do not put the phone in rice, which does nothing except leave starch in the port. Leave it unplugged with the port facing down and book a look at it. If it was fully submerged, see water damage repair instead, where time matters much more.

What happens after you book

We collect the phone free of charge, inspect it, and send you what we found with the price for the repair it actually needs. The stages appear live on repair tracking, and the phone comes back to you free of charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions.

My iPhone charges only at a certain angle. Is the port broken?

Not necessarily, and this is the single most common case we see. Lint compacts into the bottom of the port over months until the cable can no longer seat fully, and an angle that works is a cable making partial contact. That is a cleaning job, not a replacement. We check which it is before quoting.

Why is this priced after a diagnosis?

Because the same symptom has three very different repairs behind it: cleaning a blocked port, replacing the charge-port flex, or board-level work when the fault is upstream of the port. Quoting one price for all three would mean charging cleaning customers for a part they do not need.

Could it be the cable rather than the phone?

Often. Before booking, try a different cable and a different plug, and try charging from a computer. If another cable works reliably, you have found it. If every cable fails the same way, or only works pushed in at an angle, the phone is worth looking at.

Should I try cleaning the port myself?

With the phone switched off and a wooden or plastic toothpick, gently, yes. Never use a metal pin, and never use compressed air, which drives the lint deeper and can damage the contacts. If the lint is compacted hard at the bottom, stop: pushing it further in turns a cleaning job into a replacement.

Does the charging port affect anything besides charging?

Yes. On most iPhones the same flex assembly carries the bottom microphone and sometimes the antenna connections, which is why a failing port often arrives alongside people on calls saying they cannot hear you. Mention both symptoms when you book; they are usually one repair.
