Samsung Battery Replacement in Dubai

Samsung builds a battery test into its own app. Open Samsung Members, tap Support, then Phone diagnostics, then Battery status. It reports the condition of the battery in plain words, and anything other than a good or normal result means it is worn.

On recent Galaxy models, Settings, Battery, Battery information also shows when the battery was made and how many charge cycles it has been through. While you are in Settings, look at the battery usage list: one app at the top with a far larger share than the rest is a software problem, and a new battery will not fix it.

• switching off at 15 to 30%, then showing charge again once it is plugged in
• the percentage falling in jumps, especially with the camera, video or a game open
• running hot and charging slowly on its own charger
• needing an afternoon charge for the same use that lasted all day a year ago
• the back glass lifting along one edge

A drain that began the day after a software update is the exception. The phone re-optimises its apps for a few days after a major update, and battery life usually returns on its own within a week.

On a Galaxy the battery sits directly under the back glass, so when a cell swells the back is the first thing to move. A gap along one edge, or a back that flexes when pressed, both mean the same thing. Stop charging it, do not press it flat, keep it out of a hot car, and book it as swollen. A swollen cell does not recover, and the pressure eventually cracks the back glass or the screen from the inside.

There is no battery door on a modern Galaxy. The back glass is sealed to the frame with adhesive and has to be warmed and lifted off, and on most models the battery underneath is glued into its tray as well. Two honest consequences follow. A back glass that is already cracked usually does not survive being removed, so tell us if yours is, because it changes the job. And opening the phone breaks the factory water seal: it is resealed, but no opened phone should be trusted in water to its original IP rating, whoever repairs it.

Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip phones split their battery into two cells, one in each half, joined through the hinge. Either can fail on its own, and replacing one is not the same job as on a standard Galaxy. These are priced after a free diagnosis, when we confirm which cell has failed and the applicable price.

Android estimates the battery level from learned behaviour, so the percentage can read oddly for the first few charges with a new cell, then settles. To slow the next battery's ageing, turn on Battery protection in Settings, Battery, which holds the charge below full, and use a charger that matches the phone: a poor one charges slowly and runs it hot.
